This is certainly something we don’t see every day around the MMA world. Early in his lightweight bout against Scott Holtzman in Las Vegas Saturday evening, Beneil Dariush put on an absolute show
The Iranian-American connected on 36 significant strikes compared to just eight from Holtzman. The culmination of this dominating performance has to be seen to be believed.

Whatever you want to call it, a spinning back elbow or a back fist, it really doesn’t matter. What an utterly brutal connection from Dariush to end the first bout of the main card in quick fashion.
Dariush also put the lightweight division on notice. This represents his fifth consecutive win since losing to Thiago Moisés back in November of 2018.
The Southern California native entered this fight ranked 14th in the lightweight division. I envision him being in the top 10 afterward.
